Our lucky number 0138. But apparently it's not too lucky. Our number was not called until the last 4. 271 out of 275. Omg!! Really a long long wait.

Continue to queue queue queue. Response was pretty good, the units are selling fast. Being the last 4, we are lucky enough to get what we want.

This year's CNY is like the earliest... today is already 年除夕!!!
Dont really have the CNY mood.

All the bankers and bosses are away to Jakarta for an event, so intially i thought we wont know it already. But who knows, all the ABs received calls from our boss on Thursday morning. Really think she's very nice to call us up cos i realised that the bankers who are together with her in Jakarta, do not know theirs yet on Friday morning.

Well, i had a bet with Goldwin... if my Bonus is above S$XXXX, i'll have to treat him, vice versa. N.... tada.... i won the bet! So meaning to say, its not too bad i guess... but i shall not disclose the figure here..

Also, i got promoted and had a 8% increment. Times are bad, i was given heads up that it could be a dry promotion. So, i should be happy that i have an 8% increment?!?!

人是贪心的。。。although i know what i have is already considered very good across the ABs。。。But when i look at the FX desk people or just my boy's。。。it's so LITTLE!

I HOPE I CAN STRIKE TOTO THIS CNY!!!!

Today marks the last working day of 2011. It's going to be a busy year ahead.... 2012!

Anyway, i just wanna say i just got the Turkey photos from Ah Tick. Didnt know he took 331 photos, that's quite a lot. See already v sleepy. No mood to consolidate the photos to continue blogging for my Turkey trip. I guess i got to postpone it to next year...

10D7N Tremendous Turkey Experience

Turkey is indeed a beautiful place. Surprisingly, not much complains about the trip, despite hearing bad reviews about the FOOD especially and even bad experience with Chan Brothers to Turkey.

It was my first Europe cum Asia trip, with a flight time of near to 12 hours. We took Turkish Airlines even thou we could have opt for SQ because of the better return flight timing. Well, no complains about the inflight entertainment, leg space etc. Food wasnt fantastic nor bad, but could be better. Haha. Oh, but the air stewardess is very fierce de leh. Pretty but fierce. Fiercest stewardess we have ever seen!!!

Sishi came to see us off. Had tea at the airport before we left. Apple.. Notice the winnie-the-pooh pillow. X'mas present from you couple of years ago. My first time using it. But sadly, there's a hole. It gets smaller during my sleep and eventually becomes flat. My entertainment during the flight. Keep having to blow it back into shape. Hahaha.

Well, felt like a pig for this trip. We had a very full dinner. On board the plane, we were given Hazelnut snack. After awhile they serve us rice. And then few hours before landing, its breakfast.

There are only 10 person in our tour group. Its kinda weird because when we booked, ours is a confirmed tour, so not sure why in the end, there is only 10 of us. Thought it's going to be like 5 couples? But we are so wrong. It is us, plus a family of 4 (parents & 2 kids), and another 4 which we known as yi jia si kou. Couple plus mother-in-law & sister.

Turkey is 6 hours behind SG time. We arrived in Istanbul at around 5am Turkey time. We were greeted by our handsome tour guide, Tamer. Were given some time to change money. By the way, the rates at the airport is much much better than Singapore. Never listen to the tour agent and change at Mustafa. Luckily we did some calculation and realise the rate difference and never change at Mustafa. Otherwise, can always withdraw directly from the ATM machine at the airport. Heard that rates are good too!

Our first destination. Breakfast at a hotel nearby the airport. Nothing fantastic. Hard-boiled eggs, sausages, cereals, cheese, salad etc. Food was kinda cold!~~~~~~~ not nice! anyway, we are v full. so it's ok.

Then we set off for a few hours bus-ride to Canakkale. Turkey is big place. We have to travel for 2-3 hours each day to reach our destination. Along the way, there is always toilet breaks. Also, apple tea time.

We reached this pier place where we had some time for photo-taking, followed by lunch. Our first proper meal. There is bread and soup, salad and we had fish with rice. Quite tasty. =) Forgot to mention, it is cold~~~~~ properly below 10 degrees.

After lunch, we took this ferry. I duno what you call that, but our bus can also drive into the ferry and when it is nearing our destination, we will all board our bus and the bus will then drive out of the ferry and continue our journey on the land. We are going to visit the legendary Troy for our first day in Turkey.

Unlike Singapore with limited space, Turkey is really big. Along the journey, you will see huge pieces of land, plantations, animals etc. Isnt it wonderful if we can grow whatever we like to eat, have a few animals in our backyard. Finally, arrived at our hotel. Iris Otel. Well, it is a 4-star hotel. And this is the worst one out of the 6 which we stayed. We read reviews online, the entire list of hotels which we are going to stay are like quite bad, so we did not set high expectations.

Was told that we can see beautiful sunset behind the hotel. Sunset is at around 4.45pm there. Indeed beautiful!

The bad point about following a tour. The wake-up call is at 6am. Luggage to be ready by 6.30am. Breakfast, and then setting off at 7.30am. Our dinner & breakfast is always settled at the hotel. For Iris Otel, the food is quite pathetic and limited. It is buffet-style. And thou terrible, there is always like still ok-can-eat rice/ chicken/ fish that will not make you starve. For breakfast, there is always cereals so i am okay! And turkish like hard-boiled eggs. And not forgetting bread. It is present in every single meal. There is alot of cold dishes/ appetitisers, which we always skip la. And the desserts too. Sweet and not nice de. I rather eat fruits.

Our first destination of Day 3 - Acropolis archaeological site. We had to take a cable car to reach the place. That is our tour guide.

After the visit, it's lunch time. Buffet-style. In this meal, the nicest and most popular dish is this chinese-style chicken potato soup.

Ah tick says i am on drugs. Whenever i board the bus, i will automatically dozed off and sleep throughout the journey. Haha.

A few hours later, we reached Virgin Mary's cottage. This is the birthplace of Virgin Mary, and she spent her entire life staying here. No photos allowed in the cottage. A place with high security.
Realised most of the photos you only see ah tick? that's bcos mine are mostly in his camera and i have yet to get the photos from him yet. hee.

The day ended early. Around 5pm. Checked in to Hotel Tatlises. Nice hotel with wifi in the room. Wonder why is the review so bad.

Good morning. It is day 4 of our trip. The view from our room.

In the morning, we visited another ancient site. Ephesus - the ancient Greek city. This is one of the most magnificent architecture built by the Romans during the Bronze age. The amazing timeline of the city dated back to 550 B.C.

Beautiful, isnt it. Spectacular! It is interesting how the Romans can build all these. There are many cats in this Epheses site. So cold there, it explains why they are so fury and fat.

We had an early lunch. Arrived at 11am or so. The food was not even ready. We started off with tomato soup with bread. As the fish were not ready, they had no choice but to ask if we want a second serving of the soup. Haha. The rice came next. And finally the grilled fish and the popiah thingy with cheese-fillings.

Next destination: Pamukkale. Meaning "Cotton Castle" in Turkish. It is a natural site in Denizli Province. The city contains hot springs and travertines which was made up of limestone formations. Love this place the most for my entire trip. We get to take off our shoes and "feel" the limestones and hot spring water. On top of the beautiful cotton castle, there is also the beautiful sunset.

We reached the hotel early today too. Around 5-ish. Lycus River Otel. A hotel with thermal pool, jacuzzi, turkish bath and sauna. Dinner only starts at 6.30pm, so we have time to change into our swimwear and head to the thermal pool before dinner. Thermal pool feels like hot spring which I have tried in Korea. Indoor and outdoor. The outdoor one is shiok as the cold air mixed with the hot thermal water = heaven!!!

Just shifted to Asia Square on Monday. And I've been feeling very sleepy for the past 3 days. I think it's the new environment. Now I got to wake up a bit earlier, taking a bus with no seats, so I cannot have my power nap during the journey. It's so hot during lunch time. Food is limited and got to walk walk walk.. So worried for my Xiao fei jiao.. Haha..

I am starting to feel sian about my job already. I know it is a bit too fast. I only joined on the 5july10, so it is exactly 8months now. I hope it is due to the new implementions and MAS regulations. So hopefully after all these are completed, i will love my job again. Fingers crossed.

This new RDIP thingy is really very irritating. For the IOS, from a 3 years annual review, now it has been changed to 2 years. So, by right, we will have to complete all those due in Feb/Mar09 first else they will become overdue. Then, we should move on to do those due in 2008 cos by now they are already overdued. But the problem now is.. Be it done in 2008/2009 or 2010, all have to be completed by Apr2011. Siao!!! there are like 100 over for my 2 bankers. And for each of them, the bankers must call the client up before we can do. It is tedious to type the justifications over n over again, having to be creative and not submit the same for all! N it is very difficult to get my dear banker to call the client too! All he care about is SALES SALES n SALES. KYC & IOS by right should be done by bankers themselves, but there are all becoming an AB's job.
Unfair isnt it, but still got to do.. Haizz..

Anyway, its weekend! I love weekends. I love to sleep till 12noon. I think there is something wrong with my body, no matter how much i sleep, i still feel tired and sleepy. Haha. Went to Sentosa with tick today. The weather was v hot & sunny. Became cloudy when we got there. Rained for awhile, and v sunny again!! Relaxing & shiok =)

I was blogging for a long long time already. Initially i tot of changing from Blogger to Wordpress. Typed alot on wordpress, but decided to switch back to my old blog instead. But but but... arrrhhhhhhh... everything is gone now.. so i got to re-type... this is so irritating.

Anyway, its a new year. We are already almost 3 months into 2011. What have you done so far? Have you set your goals for the year?

Here's my goals for the year
1) Have Good Health & Good Complexion
2) Learn Bahasa (haha, this is tough, so maybe just a few words or sentences?)
3) Excel in my work (be more proactive with clients)

Went on a 4D3N trip to Bangkok with Ah Tick. It was a fulfilling trip. Shop, Massage, Eat!!!! I dont remember taking much photos and anyway they are with him. We flew by Thai Airways, stayed at On8 @ Sukhumvit. He loves massage, so we went to thai massage everyday. I shopped quite alot, whereas for him, the things he bought is quite pathetic. Haha. I didnt bully him. We had lots of good food, steamboat buffet, ramen, thai food, ice-creams, roadside snacks and porridge. Compared to Jen, he is very very lucky. Jen has no massage, no food when he went bkk with me, jess, sishi, jingyi n eve.

There is one memorable event during my bkk trip. On the 27th, while i am still in my dreams, i received a call from Jessica Poh. It's regarding my bonus & increment. After working for 4 years, i finally get a taste of bonus and increment. I only got converted in july, so given that i only worked for 6months, i m rather happy with what i m given.

Overall, i had a great trip! Natas is coming this weekend. Will we be going on another trip?

CNY

This is the first CNY that i am spending with my new colleages. Jessica invited us to her house on chu er. Her house is at Holland Green. Big and expensive houses are not accessible by bus or train. So i cabbed there. Sometimes i wish i can stay at such houses, but think only la.. wait long long also dun have.

I didnt bring my camera on that day, so these photos are kopped from Nasya's FB. Betty took alot of pictures too, but i couldnt find them on FB anymore. Weird.

We had lion dance in office and there is a tradition that everyone will dress in qi piao on that day. So i bought one specially for that. Am liking my qi piao, this is my first qi piao, glad that it fits nicely, no alteration at all!

My first Vday with Ah Tick. He's really a boring bf la! I have already complained to him. No flowers, no romantic dinner and no present. We went out for a casual dinner only. Was quite upset during that period. Initally i wanted to get him a present, but angry, so i made him a card in the end. Glad that things cleared up between us already. So we are much happier now =)

Blogging is so tiring. Haha. I wonder when's going to be my next post. Sidetrack alittle, i still love my Sony camera. But i really hope to get a new camera during the next Comex show.

Bali Day 3 - My Birthday =)

We didnt get a driver for the day, so taking a cab instead. While waiting for the cab. This is our villa lobby.

We are heading to Ubud. We know that its gonna be a long journey, but didnt expect it to be so LONG~~~~ It took us 1hr 45mins to finally arrive at Babi Guling - the famous suckling pig place.

Hmmm... I think it is not fantastic lei, i dun really like. Kind of scared while eating cos i do not know what i m eating. I always tot ah tick is very choosy when it comes to food, but i m so wrong. This bali trip makes me realise that i m the more picky one. N he is like a rubbish bin. Whatever that i cannot finish, he can eat them all up. Haha

There's Citi banner everywhere in Bali, expecially in Ubud!! There is a Writers and Readers festival going on from 6-10oct. We took some photos bcos there is actually a contest going on, whereby we can submit photos that we took while travelling and can stand a chance to win something. My banker took part, but i am not sure if the contest is still on. Just take la.

Going for a spa next. And we have arranged for the pickup outside Babi Guling.

SANg Spa. Located at a ulu corner, no way you can find the place if we hadnt book it online. A real "shi wai tao yuan"!!!

We had a 2 hours treatment, which includes massage, scrub & bath. Cost IDR 250,000 each.

After massage, the driver dropped us at Ubud town, where we can do some shopping. BUT, there is nothing to buy at all!!!! I think its me la, haha. The things are not to be likings. We walked and walked, asked around for directions, and we actually manage to walk to our next destination - Bebek Bengil. We are so proud of ourselves!!

After dinner, we head back to Seminyak. A long journey back. We got a driver, he's actually not a taxi driver, but i think in Bali, as long as you have a decent car, you can be a driver. He is damn zai!! He took lots of shortcuts, the roads in Bali are super dark, with no street lights, very few street signs, but he just know the way. We only took 1 hour, its like 45mins faster than the journey there. Amazing.

It's still early, so we had time to shop at Seminyak square. Seminyak is a more atas place as compared to Ubud. Again, there is nothing for me to buy. This is the first time that a guy is trying v hard to get me to shop. But my comments in every shop is "nothing", "dont like, dont want", "let's go". Ah tick buay tahan. Ubud too traditional, Seminyak too atas.

But Seminyak is a very nice place for food and chill. Thou the restauants are poshed and atas, but when you look at the menu, they are actually affordable and cheaper than our Jimbaran seafood meal. It's my birthday, hehe, so before it ends, ah tick is going to get me a cake.

Bali Day 2

We have pre-booked our water sports online and the person will come to pick us up at 8am. So we arranged for our breakfast at 7am - American Breakfast. At 7am, we received a phonecall, then ding dong, the staff came inside our villa with ingredients and some utensils to prepare our breakfast in the villa! Tt's so interesting.

So this is our american breakfast. Eggs, sausage, bacon with bread, fruits and orange juice. Yummy.

After breakfast, we set-off for our water sports. We were driven to a place to put our belongings and get our life-jacket (notice my life jacket, a very sweet pink one, and its actually for kids, but fits me perfectly.. haha) then we took a boat(boat sounds weird, but i duno what word to use. not yacht, not ship lei) to another beach, it is a private beach for Jet Set Ski, so there's no one there except us! shiok!!

It's not too bad, but excitement level is low, and tt's bcos the person nv make us fall into the water. So basically is just cruising around.

The second activity - Flying Fish
This is quite cool. We lie down on the float thingy are are being dragged for quite a distance. I dislike the dragging part thou, cos the seawater keep splashing onto my face and my eyes hurts! But the fun part will be when the float will fly into the air, not much protection, we are just holding on to the handles. FUN! n i like the feeling that we can fly. Ah tick like this the most! After flying for a few times, we sat on the float, as if its a bigger version of banana boat. But this is more fun cos the driver purposely make up jump up n down.

The last activity - Jetski
Personally i like this the most, n i think it is good that we are the only 2 doing the jetski during that time, so no worries about bumping into others. Pretty cool to be able to speed across the sea, very carefree and relaxing. <3<3<3

We had some free time so we make use of the pool facilities in our villa before heading out for lunch.

Lunch was at Warung Made @ Seminyak. The place is kind of dark but relaxing, good for spending an afternoon there.

The food... We were very hungry, and this is what we ordered. I forgot the name of the mains, but basically, mine is fried rice with satay, his is supposed to be seafood fried rice. We also ordered a mixed of chicken & pork satay, plus the spring roll which is recommended by the staff, but it's not nice. Haha. N my orange juice is warm. Weird.

We arranged for a driver for the afternoon to drive us to Uluwatu & then dinner at Jimbaran. Initially the plan was to pick us up at our Villa after our lunch, but we decided to ask the driver to pick us up from Warung Made instead, so we can save on the taxi back to our villa. The driver will cost us IDR 300,000. And by the way, lunch cost us slightly more than IDR 200,000. N bcos ah tick tot we r just out for lunch, he didnt bring alot of money. He's the treasurer, i dun have money. Haha. After paying for the lunch, we got around IDR 600,000. So, we are wondering if that's enough to pay for our seafood dinner later.

We heck care, the driver is here, and we are off to Uluwatu. The journey was quite long, more than an hour from Seminyak. Happy napping along the way.

Entrance fee was IDR 3000 each, and we were given this sarong.

Basically, this is the place to see the temple on the cliff, with very nice sunset view. We were too early for sunset thou.

The ocean view is spectacular and i like the huge oncoming waves.

There are monkeys everywhere. N be careful cos they will snatch your stuffs.

See the little monkey with the bottle of mineral water. There are still some water inside and the monkey is trying to drink them.

But he's very stupid. He tore the bottle and all the water spilled out!! Trying to sip the last few drops. This is a very funny scene. Everyone there was laughing at the stupid monkey.

N this is the father. Cannot be bothered!!!

Our driver keep asking us to watch the Kecak dance, then we can catch the sunset. But we are not really interested. So just a few more pictures before we set off to Jimbaran for sunset instead.

This is the place we had our dinner. The driver brought us there. There are alot of angmohs there, actually in Bali, everywhere is angmohs. Remember, we dont have alot of money, so we checked out the price before ordering. The seafood here are v ex, so we only ordered a fish and sotong.

How can you not drink coconut when you are in such a resort/beach place. So i ordered a coconut. Looks big and yummy. But to my disappointment, its warm and not sweet, with no coconut inside for me to scoop n eat. Sad. So this is the only coconut i drank in bali.

So, we ordered coke and fanta instead. Pa jiao out to wait for the food.

Food is here. The vege is complimentary, there's soup and potato as well. So here's our fish and sotong. Sad to say, i dun like them. Stingray in singapore taste so much better.

But luckily i got my corn. This is a must-try there. Cheap and yummy as compared to the seafood.

This not-so delicious meal cost us IDR 454,250. So we actually do not have enough money left to pay the driver. Haha. But nvm la, since we are going back to the villa, so the driver waited for us to go back to the villa to get money for him.

****DAY 1****

We heard stories about our first holiday destination - Bali. We are adviced not to go. But we went ahead since we have already booked our air tickets, flew by Jetstar @ $84 nett per pax. And also booked our villa before all these stories came about. Though we do not really believe, but we still heed the advices - DO NOT STROLL ON KUTA BEACH, DO NOT WALK OVER TO TANAH LOT. Hahahaaha......

We took an evening flight. So we had dinner after checking-in. Dinner was at Astons.

In love with corns recently, actually all along i like them. Ah tick abit cannot tahan my craziness towards corn. Haha. But he dun really care cos he is totally engrossed and satisfied with his double chicken - fried chicken & black pepper.

First time taking the plane together. I told him the same thing when we r on board. N he was like... So??? Duh....

Not long after take-off, we were surprised with this muffin. We are taking budget airline, and there is FOOD!!!! Cooool..... Then while i was telling ah tick, they give us muffin, after eating, we will be thirsty... N there comes plain water. Thumbs up for Jetstar!

The flight was smooth. We arrived safely in Bali. Took a taxi to our villa - DANOYA, at Seminyak. This is the cosy place we stayed for 3 nights.

♥♥ Birthday Celebration for HIM ♥♥

This is my first official birthday celebration for him although we had celebrated 3 birthdays together previously in office as our birthdays are quite closed.
We had an early celebration on sat as his birthday falls on tuesday.

The first surprise i have for him - Spa Indulgence @ Adeva Spa located at Paragon.
The package consists of a one hour deep-tissue swedish body massage, followed by a half hour seasonal spa polish. He loves spa & massage so he's happy with the first surprise i have for him. Satisfied faces.

Next up, it's dinner time. I have made all the plans, but he got to be the chaffeur. Our destination - Resorts World Sentosa. Dinner @ Osia.

First to arrive, Black Olive Rosemary Stonehearth Flat Bread, served with olive oil, butter and a tube of Spiced Garbanzo, like a toothpaste for you to squeeze onto the bread. Nice fragrance, fluffy and filling. This is the most affordable dish in the menu. ($9) Hehe.

This is a very interesting dish. Seafood Ice Experience, one of the signature dish of the restaurant. It comes in a rack of 6 fat test tubes. And you are supposed to eat them from right to left. The flavors are as follow:

Pineapple Lemongrass Ice + Blue Fin Tuna,
Quandong Orange Ice + Amaebi Shrimp,
Calamansi "Mojito" Ice + Sea Scallop,
Lychee Martini Ice + Oyster,
Watermelon Lillipilli Ice + Maine Lobster,
Apple Celery Ice + Tasmanian Salmon.

I like the second one the most, followed by the lychee martini ice without the oyster. He ate the oysters and is loving it. Overall, all 6 tubes are quite nice and edible except the celery one.

This is my main dish. Atlantic cod served with potatoes.

His main dish. Yorkshire porkchop served with corn and tomato. I loved the corn!!

We ended off with this signature dessert - Valrhona Hot Chocolate Soup. It's hot chocolate with vanilla/pepper ice cream, sinful but yummy.

After dinner, we walked around, behaving like tourist since its my first visit to RWS. I kind of like the place, it gives me a out-of-singapore feeling, as if i am on holiday =) we came across this Lake of Dreams. And i happily make a wish, for our next destination, to win back at least our entrance fee.

As we wonder around, we found the shop that i have been telling him that i want to go - CANDYLICIOUS. Taking pictures before we enter the shop. No photo-taking allowed in the shop, cos the candies are shy. Hehe.

This shop is much bigger and nicer than Hersheys. There are so much more varieties, that even a non-candy fan like him likes the place. Need not say for a sweet-tooth person like me, feels super happy to be in the shop thou we didnt buy anything.

Enough of shopping and wandering, we are ready for our next destination. The CASINO - Huat Ar!!!!

We spent about 4 hours inside. As we are both not keen on table games, we only played Jackpot.
And this is our winning ticket at the end of the day.

Minus away the entrance fee and some losses along the way, we make a profit of $400.

I always believe in buying a birthday present. So, even though i have pamper him with spa and dinner, i bought him a present as well. Ta da... Mont blanc wallet.

Last surprise i have for him. On the actual day of his birthday, wanted to bring him out for dinner, then buy him a cake. But then, the poor boy is down with fever. So i bought a cake to his house.

Took us close to 2 hours to travel from Millenia to Jurong East for dinner. There's trafic jam everywhere, partly due to road closure of F1, but all the way to Jurong, is v kua zhang! Finally reached the coffeeshop, but the tian ji zhou we wanted to eat is closed. So in the end we had BBQ seafood.

Wanted to catch the fireworks at Chinese garden and according to Ping, it is at 8pm. We couldnt make it in time thou. Finished dinner at 830 and proceed on to chinese garden. There's a long long jam to get into carpark. Seriously, it will be much faster to take the mrt.

Finally, we got into chinese garden. It's been many years since i last visited and this is in fact the first time i m there on mid-autumn festival. Feels very happy to be there. No fanciful decorations this year. Just red lanterns everywhere, and people carrying lanterns strolling in the garden. I bought a lantern too, to join in the fun. Brings back alot of memories. Used to play lanterns, candles and sparkles with my neighbours when i was young.

We met Jess and Edmund, Jess bought a lantern too. Hiak hiak.

I love the place and the mood here. Shall visit this place again next year.

N bcos of the rain earlier, the moon isnt that bright and round. according to mummy, the moon is the smallest this year?? in 18 yrs history?? how sad.....

Dusty

I have been neglecting my little corner, it is getting dusty again....

Couple of things that took place these few months...

1) My work. In my previous entry, i am super sian with my new career. But now that its almost 2 months, i am feeling much much better and happier. I understand more about the systems, the processes and also the clients. I believe all we need in a new environment is TIME! i have also cleared all my exams and the toughest, thickest investment overview, i scored 88 for my 1st try. Proud of myself. Haha. So, i just want to drop a word to apple, jia you k.. you can do it de!

2) I have not blog about this at all. So i am going to do it now. I am happily in a relationship now, after being single for quite sometime. It's been 2 months. I am beginning to feel his sweetness after some nagging. Come to think of it, i am quite dumb sometimes. He tried to surprise me that day, but i didnt manage to catch it. *slap myself* i hope things will get better each day. And i am looking forward to his bday and our bali trip during my bday.

3) I tried something new the other day. Being a model. Wahahaha.. To be involved in the photoshoot for ying n jo's blogshop. It's quite a nice experience. Fun but tiring. Lessons learned - the photographers are VERY impt in a photoshoot. He/She must be able to make the models feel comfortablt, must know how to capture the correct moments, the correct angle so that the models will turn out to be pretty. Most importantly, the setting must be set correctly so that the clothes will turn out to be in their correct color cos this is a blogshop afterall! Ying n jo were rather pissed off with the main photographer of e day for hiJACKing their photoshoot. So much complains and unhappiness with the photos but i do hope the launch will be a successful one!

4) I am recently v into bowling. I bowled 3 times this week! Mon, fri n sun. Haha.. a bit crazy. Now i am wondering if my right arm will become more muscular than my left arm. Haha. Time to get back to some swimming after the 7th month.

A Good Good Day

It has been a long long time since i feel that i am lucky. Or maybe perhaps not, just that 3 years have passed, and finally i got what i want.

The saying goes... 等久就有...

Today i accepted an offer, and yesterday i rejected one.

I finally got a perm job, still Citi thou.

For the past few days, i really got the feelings like 3 yrs back. 3 yrs ago, i was being offered a perm position at a local bank, ops, and its at tampines. Then i got another offer, which is my current job, a contract, at Citi FX desk. I chose the latter, and sometimes i do regret my choice, cos i ended up being stuck at my contract position for so long, and yet cannot be converted to perm.

Last wed, after my second interview, i was offered the job, just that HR hasnt come back to me on my package. As i waited for HR, i got a call frm bank B asking me to go down for interview. About 2 mths back, i went for an interview with bank B, and i feel really demoralised after the whole interview. So, i was kind of shock when they called me up to go for anothr round of interview after so long.

I went for 2 days, met a total of 5 interviewers! and i was offered the job too! so, i got to make a decision again. Bank B offered a higher pay, but its a middle office aka ops position, and there is alot of UAT testing to be done, so i was quite certain of what i want this time round. I chose Citi, which is to be an AB. Thou sales is not my cup of tea, i know the prospects would be better. And the happy thing is.... They are willing to match Bank B's offer...

I am looking forward to my new job.

But i am going to miss my lovely fx desk colleagues.

Taipei Trip - Day 5

I'm impressed with my blogging speed this time round, haha. I am a weird person, its either i blog v v v fast, or i take years to blog, or might as well dont blog.

It's the last day. We checked out at about 11am, then went for breakfast cum lunch.

Went to have this famous dou jiang. Reviews all say that we should try their salty dou jiang, so we ordered that. Plus you tiao, dan bing and cong you bing. Ehh, both of us dun find the dou jiang nice. The food are too oily!

Went back to xi men ding for last minute shopping. I am only left with around S$40, and i spent all my money. Bought muah chee and hair clips, and hmm, a sunblock. Haha, i bought that bcos i am short of 1 stamp, then i can exchange for another gong zai at cosmed. I got a xiao wan zi this time round, happy~~~~~

This is random, i bought a coach wristlet at Taipei's airport.

And this marks the end of our Taipei adventure. Memorable points for this trip, hmmm, watching porn before bedtime, haha. Getting lost at Shida and Xi Men Ding. Bubble tea everyday.

Spending time with my bestie. Where shall our next destination be??

Taipei Trip - Day 4

Almost nearing the end of our trip. Not much plans for today.

First, we headed to Hello Kitty Cafe, located at Zhong Xiao Fu Xing Station.
Read that its always packed, and its best to make reservations, but we were there early, so we managed to get seats.

A very sweet and cute place, reminded us of Sanrio Land.

This is our first decent meal in Taipei! Unbelievable right? This is already DAY 4!!! Wahaahaha. I had Seafood baked rice, Ping had Salmon Pasta. The set comes with soup, drink and dessert.

Next, shopping at underground malls. Great place to shop for shoes! i bought a total of 4 pairs, 2 @ NT 150 each, and 2 @ NT 350 each.

Hehe, i caught these 2 cute little bears. Looks exactly like the Rilakkuma which i like, but, the tag says its called tea tree bear. Haha. Quite easy to catch, both only cost me NT 70.

As we walked around, we saw this Havaianas shop, and they got this ti-kam machine. Each turn is NT 100. Haha, the minature slippers are too cute to resist. I spent NT 300, ping spent NT 200. N i broke my nail while opening the capsule, ouch~~~~

Visited Shida night market again. We had a deceiving man tou, followed by yogurt. Hmmm, that's bout all for dinner. Haha, Ping had an egg tart too. And i ate some sausages when i got back to xi men ding.

I think Shida is quite a nice place to shop. I like it more than Shilin now! After visiting Korea, accessories in Taiwan become so EXPENSIVE!!! The same pearl pearl earrings that i got in Korea for bout S$1, cost at least S$4 in Taipei! And that explains why i only got one pair there. Shida seems "BIG", the 2 stupid us kept turning round and round, no matter how we walk, we ended up at the bakery shop! Scary and funny, now that i recall, i still find it very funny. The 2 LU CHI! Hehehe

Taipei Trip - Day 3

Day 3 is a scenery day. We were praying that the weather will be good, at least no rain, else it will ruin the whole plan! When i woke up, i checked the weather forecast, and its a sunny day. Yeah~~~~

We had our breakfast at 85 degree cafe, followed by Koi, warm bubble tea before embarking our journey to Jiu Fen.

At Taipei main station, according to the info that we gathered, we can either take a bus or a train. We wanted to take the bus initially, but after seeking the help of a local, plus i used to take a train to Ruifang for my last trip to Jiu Fen, we decided to give up the idea of taking the bus, and chose the train route instead. And i'm so glad that we made the correct decision, cos even with train, the journey is kind of long, i cannot imagaine the bus ride. Hahha..

At Ruifang, we need to take a bus up to Jiu Fen. Lots of Singaporeans... Hehe.

Finally there. Love the cooling air and scenic view.

When we got back to Ruifang, we saw a supermarket. And there we chiong for cup noodles and HI CHEW sweets. The staff must be thinking that this 2 little girls are crazy. Bought so many cup noodles and sweets. Ping kept saying that the beef noodles are a MUST-BUY! but i dont take beef, so i bought the pork one instead. Tried one yesterday, wah.... simply delicious, shiok ah, got real meat inside! regretted that i only bought 3.. Shd have bought more!!

Our next destination was dan shui. Actually i wanted to go to fisherman wharf as well de, but i forgot that we actually need to take a bus from dan shui, and we were too hungry! From morning till evening, we only ate a cake, drank a cup of bubble tea, plus sotong balls. Haha, so we hurried to find the shop that Jay Chou used to patronize.

This chicken drumlet plus wanton soup is called the Zhou Jie Lun's set meal, quite interesting hor. Auntie is so smart to use this tactic to attract customers. The chicken is yummy, think we're just too hungry bah!

Next up, we went to have our protrait drawn. I always wanted to do so, hehe, so finally got chance lo, the black and white one is NT 100, but i chose the coloured one at NT 350, plus frame NT 50. Haizzz, the frame cracked when i reached home. Sad.

Ping's turn. Herself plus bf. So sweet~~~~~ It's meant to be a gift for him!

The drawings took quite some time. After which, we hurried back to hotel to put our loots, then proceed to Shida night market. We reached there at about 1130pm, yet we wanted to take the last train back, so we only managed to shop for awhile. Despite the short time frame, we bought somethings, hehe, happy! Shida is a nice place to shop, so we visit it again the next day.

And yesterday, i mentioned about the nice dumpling from xi men ding. As we're still hungry, we had that for supper.

And we went to Cosmed for more mask. We buy masks on a daily basis.
I love Taiwan's stamp collection system to exchange for gifts. But cannot choose de, so i got an ugly one. Yeeeeek...

Taipei Trip - Day 2

Day 2 is the most demoralizing day of the entire trip. It's raining and raining the whole day. Really makes us feel like going home. I even bought a pair of slippers and changed into it immediately, cos my pumps cannot take it le.....

We had Ah Xiong Mee Sua, and i bumped into Melissa there. We wanted to have huo guo together, but our schedule just cannot fit, so we shall meet in singapore instead.

After eating and shopping around xi men ding, we proceed to Wu Fen Pu. 3 years ago, when i visited that place, it was raining too, and as you know, it is a non-sheltered place, so it is really very irritating. I think we opened and closed our umbrella for hundred times that day. Haha.

Our lunch was super budget, NT 10, ru rou fan, cheap yet delicious. Slurps.

Despite the rain, we still endured and stayed at wu fen pu for a few hours before walking over to Raohe night market. I must say, it is really fortunate of us to have i-phone with our unlimited data plan! it is with the help of the map, that we managed to get to our destination with the heavy rain. Raohe night market is a boring place. I will not go there again.

Bought nothing, we had mango ice, yes, in that cold cold rainy weather, and hu jiao bing.

Went back to xi men ding. We had the yummy meatball plus melon soup. We used to have this almost everyday in my last taipei trip. Hehe. I like it, but i think ping dun really like. This shop sells nice dumpling too!

Then, I bought a corn from those pushcarts, looks delicious, but looks can be deceiving. Cost me NT 70, and it is not nice at all. Only ate a bit.

As we're too bored, we went ktv on our second night, nice and big room, with private toilet. I think their sound system is quite good. But duno y, we just cannot figure out how the singing rating thingy works.

Taipei Trip - Day 1

I just feel like blogging about my Taipei trip. Hehe. Perhaps bcos we do not have that much photos as compared to my Korea trip. For Korea, the thought of collaging the photos just put me off.

My thought of this 5D4N Taipei trip. It's relaxing, no tight schedules, we woke up at 10am every morning, its a pure shopping and eating trip, plus some sceneries. Even though we ended up eating VERY little, and the both of us lose weight!! and for shopping wise, never shop much too. Haha. But i do enjoy the company of my travel mate, my second time travelling with ping, after Tokyo.

We started our trip with Wei Ming, sending us to the airport, and having our lunch there together. Wanted to have Popeyes, but it has closed down. So sad..... So we ended up with Killiney. Sian, i see that everyday, and even before my trip, i had that for lunch. Boooo....

We took Jetstar, and our tickets was booked in October last year, it was only $217 nett per pax. Super duper good deal!! Finally, we are on our way to Taipei. But got this crazy man on our plane, i duno what exactly he did, but apparently he blocked one of the emergency exit, and for safety reasons, the plane nearly got to u-turn back to changi airport. Phew... but in the end, never la! When we touched down at Taipei, he was arrested. Haha. What an experience!

We bought our calling card at the airport, then took freego bus to our hotel.
Love the location of our home in Taipei - Futurestar Hotel. We only paid $98 per pax for 4 nights. It is really very accessible, just 1 min walk from XiMenDing exit 6. Decent and clean hotel, with friendly reception auntie, cheap and good. Highly recommended!

After settling down, we set off to Shilin night market. For our dinner, we had the big famous chicken cutlet, bubble tea and shanghai fried bun.

Somehow, this time round, i dun feel Shilin is that nice to shop. Not anymore, unlike my first Taipei trip. So, for the entire trip, we only visited Shilin once.
And this is my day 1 loots from Shilin. Pathetic.

On the train now... Perspiring... Super crowded n hot.. Got to reach office at 830 today... There's a new rule.. Imposed yesterday and takes effect today... Muz reach office at 830.. For some, it's 8.. And Annie is gg to note down the time and also track the number of calls picked up by each person... This is causing alot of complains and unhappiness.. Cannot understand.. This is office lei, y are they treating everyone like primary school kids? Then might as well be like factory worker.. Punch card everyday... Zzzz...
Let's see how long this can last.. N I think everyone is gg to b v sleepy today.. N we shall all leave early since we start early..
Oh no.. It's 827 and I'm only on the shuttle bus... Late.. 

It's the year of Tiger!! Moo Moo year is over~~~

I hope this year is going to be a good year! According to the feng shui master, it is a good year for Ox. Yeah~~~~

I have gotten the Korea photos from Vincent & Ying. I thought i can finally start to blog about my Korea trip, but i just browsed through the photos, and i am feeling really lazy to blog. It's really not going to be easy. So i might not blog about the trip le. Unless i got 10 days of leaves, otherwise, i seriously got no time n energy to do it. Haha..

Today is 初七, which is 人日, so happy birthday to all!! This year's cny is a rather quiet one to me. Not much shopping done, but luckily i got some new clothes from online shopping! Dun really feel the new year mood, mainly due to this year being the 3rd yr after ah ma passed away, so still cannot 拜年. I am kind of looking forward to next yr, can go 拜年again....

年初一, was also V day! A year where 2 big occasions fall tog, cannot 拜年, so didnt get to see all the relatives, no one asking me, do u have bf? when r u getting married? blah blah blah... heng ah!!! i slept alot on that day, went for movie (Valentine's Day), followed by Dempsey.

年初二, was spent playing MJ with Vinc, Jo & Ying. Thou i nv win, but it was FUN! I LOVE the walking dorameons and melody. So adorable!! I started work on 初三, hmmm...ya, so everything is back to normal. Holiday mood is over. But same as last yr, my ang baos from colleagues r rather gd, thanks to them, its like getting a mini bonus for a pathetic no bonus contract me.

I finally bought I-Phone!!!!!! After thinking and wanting to buy for months, i finally bought it. Cost me $538, but i managed to save $100 for the early re-contract, so happy, haha.. n my monthly bill shd be bout $30 instead of $38, all thanks to ah jie... i am a happy girl. I am totally loving my new phone now.

I saw fireworks yesterday, kind of lucky! Was at marine barrage, first time there, quite a nice place, very windy, so dun wear skirts that will fly, luckily i m not last night! hee. Lots of ppl goes there to fly kite, i have nv fly kite in my life before, looks fun, i am going to find someone who knows how to fly kite to bring me there.

I truely enjoyed my Korea trip! Love the companies, the activities we do, the snowy environment, the nice hotels and many many more! Of cos there are some unhappy events along the way, like we're being conned, some meals are quite lousy etc, but i still think our money are well-spent for this 10days 8nights trip!!!

I have got like 935photos in my camera alone. Plus there are many many in Vincent's camera, and a few here and there in Ying & Jo's camera. So i seriously duno how i am going to slowly consolidate them and blog about my day-by-day prog. I really want to blog about them, but it's gg to be so time-consuming, so i might take months... Hahaha.. Oops.

So for now, i shall start with the loots i bought. Hee.

Teddy bears and fury fury pens. I still like my pink bear alot, but i find the brown bear v ugly now. I used to think its cute when i bought it at the teddy bear museum. But after i bought those white ones which are cheaper and much cuter. I think the brown one is UGLY!!

All sorts of masks, BB creams and cosmetics. I really went crazy over them, in the 3 main shops - Etude House, Faceshop and Skinfood. Buy as if they're all FREE!

Very random.. Was walking around with Jie that day at Giant, and we decided to make breakfast on weekend! It's been a long long long time since the last time.

Jie was having a sore throat on sat, and she went to see the doctor. So i make the breakfast all my myself.

Forgot to buy bread, so no sandwiches. Just ham, cheese sausages and egg.

Mummy was very cute, she make a cup of coffee, and sat down, saying she must 慢慢品尝.

I want to learn to make pretty sunny sideup. Mine is quite ugly. Haha.. Not sure if i shd try the way it is made in Cooking Mama.. Lol.... Maybe i shd try one day, and at most waste one egg?

My first date with Ping in 2010

Seldom do we meet on a friday. This time round is for some purposes. To pass me my boots, my boots have been lying in her house for almost a year, i almost forgot how it looks like. Haha.

And also to collect our AE buys. I randomly bought another dress, didnt really like it when i first saw it, but on second look, i kind of like it, so i commented and ta da, i got it. Instead, the one that i'm eyeing on, i couldnt get, and it turned out not as nice as expected, so i'm glad tt i didnt get it. Hiak Hiak. Another white dress added to my exploding wardrobe~~~~

It was a busy friday, i knocked off at 745, rushed to the money changer to change my korean won, and rushed to meet the girl. Talking about the KRW, its a big stack, i am still thinking of how to keep them. I changed a thousand, seems like a lot, yet i m wondering if they're enough =)

After collecting our loots, the hungry girls went to look for food. Dinner was at Out of the Pan.

Ordered a caesar salad and a korean BBQ pork crepes to share.

I was commenting tt Ping looks very aunty on that day. She was carrying a umbrella and those recycled shopping bag. Lol, but she dun seems to care at all. In fact, she seems to like it alot!!! bocs according to her, its convenient =)

Couldnt accompany her for long, but we managed to drink our fav MOS ice milk tea and also take some pics... as usual....

Finally get to visit Helipad that night. Been wanting to go, but it's always drizzling.
Quite a nice place to chill, thou not v fantastic, but ultimately, its the company tt counts =) N i do enjoy the company i had.

Jie got to eat dinner with Alan, and also got to eat with me n mummy, so we had dinner together.

Wanted to try a new taiwan cafe at IMM, but in the end, its more like a zi char style, so we settled for Crystal Jade steamboat instead...

The steamboat is quite yummy, thou the tom yum soup is not too fantastic. Total damage is $88.

Bought Jie Jie a very pretty cake. The inital plan was to bring it out at the restaurant after dinner, but we're too full and the table is too messy, so we did it at home instead.

A request from the birthday girl, n so our dinner is set at Marche. Holiday season is over and significantly the crowd has reduced tremenously! There is no queue at all. V good!! Hehe..

We chatted for quite awhile while waiting for Apple. Only ordered rosti, which is the all-time favourite. and thus, never go wrong, as tasty as before! N our dear Joanne keep wanting to order calamari, and bcos of this calamari, we r highly entertained for the night. but the calamari not nice de.

When apple is here, we ordered more. Grilled chicken breast and porkloin, ham & cheese crepe, mushrooms, and another rosti.

The last time we had a gathering, i wasnt there. So for the previous one tt i attended, was actually 2 yrs time!! Joanna was v sweet to pass me & Li Ling a gift that she bought for us during her HK trip. Hah, but that trip was actually 2 yrs back, so when she took out the earrings for us to choose, she was like saying, sorry, this was bought 2 yrs back, we havent meet since then, so our taste now might have changed.

M glad that everyone is doing fine. Of cos, all the girls are working. Whereas, the guys, most of them are still studying. Their last sem in uni, will be joining us in the workforce v soon. Hiak hiak.

We had our dinner at Shokudo. 14 out of 24 turned up. Not too bad. Hee. Yongjun is not in the photo. He left after 15mins or so. Gf is still more impt than Jc frens.

It's a brand new year

One year has passed again. Lookin back on last year's new year entry, seems that i havent accomplished much.

So now it's time to list down my resolutions for 2010.

1) Get a perm job! This is on the top priority of my list. N i am going to start after i come back from Korea.
2) Be healthy and have good complexion. Recently my skin is v bad, i really duno what happened. V sad. I hope it will get better soon. I want to have a healthy lifestyle too, shall go swimming/ bladding regularly.. but i dun want to have 小肥脚...
3) Spend more time with family. Jie will be getting married at the end of the year, kind of looking forward to that day. Hee, n i hope very soon she will give birth to a little baby. I always think it will be nice to have a little one in our family.
4) To stand out!! Hmmm, i always give people the impression that i am quiet n indeed i am la. Haha. Recently, i hear comments tt i am more bubbly n talks more.. This is something good n i hope i can improve further, bcos if i dun stand out, i will tend to lose out!!!!!!!!
5) Get attached?? Sometimes i do feel like having someone who can hold my hand and give me a hug. But on the other hand, i am afraid of getting hurt again. I realise tt i dun like 乖乖guys, cos i find them too boring. Haha.. But if i find someone who is more playful, the chances of getting hurt is higher. Dilemma. 顺其自然 ba...
6) Travel Travel Travel.. This year i hope our family trip will be to Beijing! So i must save up more after my Korea & Taiwan trip.

The first person that i had dinner with in the new year is someone that i havent met for one year. Just happened to know tt he's back in sg and is flying back to Melbourne on the 3rd. Despite his busy schedule, we managed to meet for dinner and drinks.

The last xmas exchange, and this is in fact a post-xmas exchange.

Why is it after xmas?? Bcos apple is away, and she just came back from Beijing. It's super cold there, the way apple describes the cold, freak the 3 of us up. Korea should be equally cold, scared but yet excited!!!!

For our dinner, we wanted to dine at Marche. The queue was freaking long though. Long and slow. So we decided to give up and eat at the thai restaurant opposite. Me, Ying and Gloria, decided to order some drinks first, and wait for Jo to come before we order the food, bcos according to her, she's ON THE WAY!!!

We waited and waited. Took our time to order the drinks, drinks are here, but Jo still no where to be seen. By the time, we would have gotten into Marche if we queued. Even tot of calling for bill and change back to Marche. Hehe.

SMS her but no reply. SMS content : "Jo, ur train broke down is it?" hahhaa...

Finally, decided to give her a call. And this gal is actually shopping lo~~~~~~~~~ Feel like boxing u!!!

The 2 ladies finally arrived, we dun blame apple as she is working =) and here's the food we had.

Moving on to another venue for the gift exchange.

We draw lots, and have an option to exchange for another gift if u r unhappy with what u've gotten, but apparently, everyone is happy with what they got.

I am going to skip the entry for new year countdown, reason being
1) someone really irritate me that night, so much so that i still feel v irritated now as i am typing!!!
2) i dont really find it fun that night, it was super crowded, especially when we were at powerhouse, the group was too big. blah blah. of cos there r a few things which cheers me up a little.
3) looking at the photos, i just simply dun feel like putting them up on my blog
4) and well, it's a brand new year, 2009 is over. so i shall proceed on and blog about the new year.

I shall end off with just a picture of myself on that night.

I hope 2010 will be a better year. A new year, a new beginning.

But still it was a white xmas this year... Most of us turned up in white on x'mas eve, not the theme for the day, but pure coincidence!

It was a drinking day that day.... We drank champagne and fruit wine in office... Then went Bala for beers before proceeding to our dinner location....

This place is recommended by Ping. We wanted to avoid crowd and Ruide got a car, so he drove us to this placed called Everything with Fries at Joo Chiat.

A rather small but cozy little restaurant.. White decorations... With waiters and waitresses dressed in pink. Luckily we made reservations.

All of us ordered PORK CHOP! i wanted to have breaded salmon... but it was sold out? i duno, cos i see the person beside us still having that lo.... Everything with Fries, so everything comes with fries....

Lunch at Majestic Restaurant on Sunday to celebrate mummy's bday..

Went there once, so this is my second time there.. I personally like it alot, so i suggested this place!

A short intro on Kelvin, since this is the first time he is appearing in my blog. He's my cousin, also considered as my god-brother. Hmm.. 6 years older than me. We always have our yearly xmas exchange. Last time, my mummy will go and exchange his mummy, who is my san-yi. Haha, i know it sounds a bit funny. But tt's how it works for the past 4 years or more.

But since last year, we decided to meet up to exchange gifts personally. And come to think of it, i didnt get to see him for the entire year. And ta-daa... it's xmas again..

We had dinner at Vivocity - Kim Gary. He's puntual and already got a table before we reached.

We wanted to dine at TWG Teahouse.. But the place was small and packed.. So we went to The Marmalade.. Had to wait for an hour.. So we ended at Canton-I..

FX Desk X'mas Lunch

Initially it was just a mini xmas gift exchange between the assistants...

But eventually it turned out to be a xmas lunch party for the entire desk...

All thanks to our sponsors for making this party a success. Without them, we wont have such a wide variety of food and drinks...

Here's the food, the variety is huge, ranging from christmas must-have to Jap to Chinese food. Some of the food are log cakes, ham, pork knuckles, pizza, sushi, fried rice, roasted chicken, muffins, fruits, salad, chicken wings and others.....

All the food are bought, except the fried rice which is cooked by Steven. Steven can really cooked.. Lol.. His favourite phrase.. "Yummy". Last year's xmas party was at his house.. So fast.. It's been a year....

BC Sale with Ping

My blog is getting mouldy once again.. So lazy to blog.. N now, i got like 8 entries to catch up with.. Zzzzz...

Ping invited me to be her guest to the BC sale.. We managed to get the first slot, 1130am at a shophouse, somewhere at paya lebar.

On our way there.. Haha... Our sleepy faces... In love with hairbands lately, but then it gives me headache after wearing..

We were early, but there's already a queue outside..

A very tiny winy place, with lots of ppl.. We spent about an hour inside..

N i bought 3 dresses and a top. Total damage is $76..

Thou a bit of impulse buys, but luckily they are all fitting and nice!!

A relaxing day... It's year end... There are not much trades... So not much work...

I think i waited for almost an hour before i caught the first prawn... But, the feeeeling is really SHIOK when i caught it... Hahaha... Excited... Sishi caught her first prawn shortly after me...

Poor Jen was busy helping us to put the baits and catch the flying prawns.. Everytime he lights a cigarette, we will start shouting for him... it's quite funny thou...

I think after you got the feel, it's much easier to catch the prawns.. n we found a "HOT" spot... 80% of our prawns are caught from the location...

But i think prawning is a very cruel activity... first, you cut n poke the live mealworms... n then you catch the live prawns...

Shaifullah's Wedding

This is the first primary school classmate's wedding that i attend, but he is not the first to get married. Apparenly, Teck Wei has already got a baby, one mth already.. wow.. stunt!!!

The wedding was held at Hilton Hotel, thou Shaifullah is a malay, and when he first called us to invite us to his wedding, our first instinct is that the wedding will be at void deck, but NO-No!!! This is so bcos he married at chinese!! They had 2 sessions actually, the malay wedding was held on the previous day, but he invited us to this one instead...

Our P5 n P6 form teacher is there as well - Mrs Chay, been a few years since i last saw her.. Think all this wedding dinners are like a reunion for everyone, to catch up and to update each other on our job/ relationship status blah blah blah...

I got a urge to dig out the photos taken 12 years ago, haha.. our P6 class photo... but abit lazy.. i shall do that one fine day... think everyone still looks the same.. not much changes..

Anyway, the standard qn that Mrs Chay ask around the table is :

2) Are you attached?
Everyone at my table is... just me.. so miserable.. haha.. but i am enjoying my single life... n tt day so happens to mark the 1 yr of my singlehood... time flies~~~~

Mrs Chay is going to be a VP in SCGS... she is no longer gg to be in Fuhua.. Kinda sad, she's been there for 21 years!!! I think she's gg to miss it... But it's always good to have a change...

After talking about it for months... Changing from dinner to lunch to walking/jogging at bukit timah hill.. we finally had our deparmtment lunch at Wah Lok...

Wah Lok is famous for its dim sums, but bcos i just had similar stuff last week at Pearl River Palace, i find the food so-so only, not really say fantastic... I love the mango pudding thou, there are real mango cubes inside.. And i think we didnt order alot, not very full, but didnt voice it out as its quite paiseh... the night before at waraku, i'm the only one to say tt i m not v full as well... hahaha

Most people turned up, despite this being a very last min thingy...

Ai Wee's Hen Party!!!

The first ever Hen Party that i've attended. An interesting and eye-opening experience.

Of course the whole party begins with a sumptuous meal. The venue is Japanese Dining SUN at Chimjes. Ordered a variety of food and sake as well.

There were a total of 11 of us, of which Aiwee is of cos the Hen, the chicks - Evon, Sanny, Janet, Jingyi, Sishi, Clara, Jasmine, Jess and Me. And also, GG the rooster. Haha...

The dress code for the night is little black slinky dress + stockings for the chicks and for the hen, its something bright and dazzling to stand out! And bcos GG doesnt have a black dress, cos she has just given birth, she turned up in red and become the rooster instead of the chicks.. Heehee

Enjoyed the "Truth, Drink or Pay" session the most that night. Discovered lots of secrets. It's so fun!!!

Most importantly, hope that Ai Wee had a memorable and good time.

The Old School Days

Shaifallah is getting married on the 07Dec09 so we decided to meet up before the wedding dinner. I wasnt the organiser but supposedly the "closed" ones are meeting up, in the end, it's the usual 4 of us, plus shaifullah and wife.

We had our dinner at Mr Curry at The Central. Shaifullah didnt show up bcos, he went to the wrong Central. Haha, he went to Orchard Central and couldnt find Mr Curry.

My first time there, cozy place with nice decorations!!

I am not really a curry fan, but i loved the prawn and mushroom baked rice which i ordered.

The plan was to go to Helipad to chill after eating. When Ziwei came, he told us that its drizzling, and it seriously dampens all our mood. So we started thinking of alternative places to go. We tried our luck at Helipad, and true enough the rooftop was closed due to bad weather. Nice place though, shall visit it again one day.

So, we went to Timber at Old School. It's at mount sophia, that place, just like its name, is very old school.. So definitely very suitable for our old school mates outing. Haha. I haven seen Shaifullah for years!!! Still the crappy and funny him, didnt expect him to be the first to get married, and his wife is actually a teacher and a chinese!!! Impressed!!

On his wedding, i will get to see more long lost primary school mates. And even our teacher - Mrs Chay too! I'm looking forward.

Marmalade with Ping

Finally we get to try out Marmalade after talking about it for quite some time. Ping made a reservation, but when we got there, it's actually quite empty.

Heard and read that their desserts are nice, so we decided to share a main dish so that we will still have rooms for desserts. We ordered a mushroom with chestnut soup and a soba with salmon to share. The portion looks quite pathetic, haha.. I can finished them all by myself lo!

But like i said, we wanted to try out the desserts, so we ordered a cupcake, not much choices left, all SOLD OUT.. sad.. think the nutella one will be nice. In the end, we chose the strawberry one. Also ordered another a highly recommended dessert, it's called sticky date toffee pudding with vanilla ice-cream. But seriously, it think it taste like huat kueh, haha.. cannot stop laughing after my first mouth.. A high class huat kueh with ice cream!!!

My hair was tied up all the while, but only when we were taking pictures, this girl realised tt.. Haha.. Slow leh. My hair looks like a helmet.. Haha

I bought my nude heels from Charles & Keith on that night too!! I'm a happy girl, finally own a pair of nude heels. Hurrayyyy... Yippie =)

After shopping, we went to our favourite hangout place - Starbucks to have our favourite drinks - Green Tea Frappe.

Before heading home, we went to the ladies, the smell is terrible. But yet, we took some photos... And the effect is quite nice, thou it stinks!!!!

And as we were heading to the train station, we saw the nice xmas decors and stopped to take some photos. It's almost 11pm already.. Haha.. N it's only a Monday!! Crazy us.

Started our day by travelling to Union Industrial Building for the Triumph Sale.. Too bad, it's not at Chevron this time round. It's good for Jo thou...But she ended up being the latest... Lousy lousy...

Total damage - $50 for 4 bras and 4 undies.. Hehe, mine is the cheapest. Jo - $60, Ying and Jie - $68.

Had our lunch at Junction 8, wanted to go to the party world at Bishan after eating, but but but.. it's closed down already. So we travelled back to Clementi.

We paid less than $20 each for 4 hours, kind of cheap since it is a public holiday??

I looooveeee long weekends. Thursday feels like a Friday, Friday feels like a Saturday, and then Saturday again.. Weeeee... N this time round, it's not my holiday duty, hehe, no more for this year.

After work, we settled for dinner at En Jap Dining. It is somewhere near Double O. Initially, the plan was to go The Line, but was fully booked. Sian, but nvm, this is less fattening i supposed, and yummy yummy!!!

Bought some goodies home... Prawn crackers, cuttlefish and tao sa piah... Jie say i go one day JB also can buy so much food back... Haha...

Then we went shopping at City Square.. This is actually my first visit to City Square... Okay... I know i am sua ku... There are lots of shoes shops around, but according to Jen, Vincci is still the best. Bought 2 pairs of heels... Hehe... There's Faceshop, Skinfood and Etude House there as well... Bought my hand mask from Etude house, and there are currently having discounts!! So it is much much cheaper than Sg, but Korea is definitely still much much cheaper... One month plus to go... Wooohooooo!!!!!!! Korea, i'm coming.....

After work, we make our way to Orchard. Hoping to check out the nude heels at Pazzion and do some christmas shopping after dinner.

I suggested going to Orchard Central for dinner...

Took the long long escalator outside the shopping mall... The first one took us up to level 4. Then the next one brought us up to level 6 and finally to level 8. Hehe.. Can see the nice scenery, especially at this time of the year, with all the nicely decorated xmas lightings.. Love it!! Feels like i'm on the ferris wheel... Haha... Kind of enjoy it... I dont find it scary, but i just casually asked Jingyi if she's scared and once i asked... i think she is... hahaha..

There's a food directory at level 8... we randomly picked 2 each and Ootoya happened to be the common one... so we decided to check it out... Ootoya is located on level 9...

There's a huge crowd outside the restaurant, so we decided to queue as it seems popular and good. Haha.. Typical singaporean... got queue.. means must try!!

The food menu comes with lots of pretty photographs that you are simply spolit for choices, dunno what to choose! And one interesting point about the menu is, it tells you the calories of the food. So definitely good for health conscious peeps....

Waited for about half an hour before we got into the place... A very authentic kind of Jap restaurant.. It's those long tables where u're just seated next to each other. So ya, it's a bit awkward to talk.

Took half day leave on thursday afternoon to go to maple clinic. Went to the West Coast branch, and indeed the waiting time is much much better as compared to Tampines. Total time spent was 2 hours. Considered ok as compared to 6 hours spent on our first visit at Tampines.

I hope Dr Ong can do wonders... I want GOOD COMPLEXION!!!

Anyway, the rain was really heavy on that day. Heard that the amount of rainfall is equivalent to 115 Olympics swimming pools... Tt's like... Wow!!!

After maple clinic, me and Jo make our way to Vincent's place. Feeling all excited as Vincent is cooking pasta for us!! Once we stepped into the house, we experienced the choking spiciness effect. Haha.

I realise my blog entries are very messy. But doesnt matter la, at least i do bother to blog about them. A very random and last min meetup, so grace couldnt join us. Had our dinner at Nanbantei @ Far East Lvl 4. Been there a few times already, but this is Ping's first time. A very authentic yakitori place, highly recommended!!!

Do make reservations, or else be prepared to wait for up to an hour or more.

Managed to get a good deal... One night stay at Fairmont Singapore at $88++, total bill is about $105 i think. Our dinner was from Brotzeit & Skinny Pizza, all bought by Sishi alone, and she even checked in the room for us. Xin ku le, thanks gal =)

After dinner time, is the exciting Taboo Session. This is my 2nd time playing this game, the 1st was with jo, ying and vincent. Me n ying, jo and vincent... N me n ying are really good. Haha.. This time round we played the Singapore version. I think it is more fun~~~ Poor Jacinta, the night was like a exercise session for her, she did star jump (x10), standing board jump(x3) and push-up(x10). Luckily Eric came to rescue her, but he only did some sit-ups. Haha

Next up, is partying time at Butter Factory. But seriously i dont really like the place. Always so crowded. Jacinta had a really great time. So much so that she almost toppled the whole table full of drinks. Jen and Sishi got to grab hold of her to prevent her from falling, and we left after that as she seems really gone. Another person who seems to enjoy himself that night was Benson. Hmmm... right??

The next day, Jacinta woke up very early!!! She sat at the sofa to wait for e 3 of us... N after that, she didnt join us for food. Then she can leave earlier in the first place ma.. Weird girl...

Rain rain go away

Saw Ping's blog, so i'm inspired to blog about our very pathetic ECP outing.

After knowing each other for more than 10 years, this is our first blading/cycling trip. We happily embarked our journey to the east. The weather was rather good in the west, and i even checked the weather forecast before i set off, and it is supposedly cloudy for the whole of singapore.

Grace's bf - Benny, also our secondary school classmate, is very nice to give us a ride there. So we managed to reach at about 5pm or so, all equipped and ready to go. By the way, the sky in the east, got a bit of dark cloud....

As we blade and blade... we can feel a bit of raindrops... so we decided to take shelter at the hawker centre. And from drizzling, the rain gets really heavy. The whole sky is dark, super heavy downpour, and we were trapped for close to 2 hours. Had the very yummy and nice satay in the cold, now as i am blogging, i still think the 3 of us are very ke lian that day... the nice nice uncle from the nearby stingray stall provided us with umbrella, but we're all still very wet...

Me and ping... this is taken on our way there... feeling excited... but haizzz.. i wonder if there will be another trip... hahha...

Last sunday, i went swimming with ah jie... we went to the bukit batok one, so we walked there from our house.. the weather was alright de, but as we walked, i was like keep asking jie to look at the sky... how come the sky above us is all dark clouds... but when we turn our head, everywhere else is bright is clear blue sky... n guess what, rain drops falling even before we stepped into the swimming complex!! damn unlucky... but this time round, it is not as bad our the ECP experience... the rain stopped after 5mins?? yeah... so we continued with our swim =) completed 15 laps before we head home for dinner~~~~~

I am troubled with my calf muscles... ever since we came back from bkk, sishi was telling me that she can see my calf muscles nowadays... and today... benson said the same thing to me.... gosh.... is it due to swimming? blading? or walking too much? arrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Golden roll, Salmon Sashimi, Seafood Salad with Sushi Tei dressing, Chuka Hotate, Mackeral, Fried Squid(i duno the name), Corn Croquette, (Egg roll n Guo Tei - By Vincent). And if u're wondering what's e yellow creamy thing, it's mayo aka Jin Zheng Gu lookalike.

When the hungry men are full, they start doing other things. Like fighting and cam-whoring. Hehe.

Cut the cake just passed midnight i think, and my present from mummy and jie jie - a pendant, plus ang bao from daddy.

I was on leave on my birthday, planned to go shopping with mummy and jie jie de. But then, i was having a fever when i woke up. In fact, i wasnt feeling too well after the mushroom pot on monday and the Sushi tei meal on tuesday. So poor me was on MC on my big day. Kind of sad.

Slept the whole day. Then went to IMM for dinner. Wanted to eat something light, Jie suggested scallop porridge from Crystal Jade, but but but.. Not a single porridge on the menu, so this is what we had in the end. A bit too rich for someone who just recovered from fever, vomitting n diarhorea. Hehe.

But the food are nice, yummy~~~

Went all the way to Siglap for the highly raved Cheesecake Cafe.

A very nicely decorated place, with lots of clocks. Love the ambience, the comfortable seats and of cos the Cheesecakes there. We are rather full after our dinner, so we only ordered 2. Strawberry Oreo cheesecake and Chocolate cheesecake, to go with my Caramel Latte, and his Latte.

He asked for a candle, so this is my 4th birthday cake. Love the cakes there, shall visit again to try other flavors~~~

Bangkok Trip 02-04Oct2009

It's a short getaway, and i really mean it. A pretty short one, our flight was at 840pm on friday night, which means to say we rushed to the airport after work. Our return flight was at 740pm Bangkok time, which is Sing 840pm on Sunday night, touched down at 1130pm and all of us got to work on Monday.

At the airport. While waiting for Jess. She's on compliance, so she came from home. Looking super refreshed!! We had fun while taking the fotos, do you think it looks like the 3 of us is gg on a trip?? without Jen & Jess... Hahaha... We hide Jen's little bag bag behind our luggage.. Oooopss

After we checked in, me and Jingyi were happily buying our beauty products from DFS, we decided to buy it straight away as based on past experience, we'll be too tired to buy it on Sunday.

Done with our shopping, time to board the plane~~~~~~

We didnt have time for dinner, and since this time round we are taking Thai Airways, meals are provided. We all had chicken with noodles, not fantastic, but edible especially when we're all hungry.

We didnt want to waste our night by turning in immediately, so we decided to go to the night market. It was already BKK time 12midnight, which is SIN time 1am!! Wanted to go to Suan Lum Night Bazaar, but the hotel staff told us that the place will be closed by the time we travel there, and he recommended us this place called Kow San Street. Never been there before, but we gave it a try. A v happening place, things are pretty cheap. There are accessories, clothings, food etc.... It is a place where the ang mohs chill out. Something like our holland village.

By the time we got back to the hotel, it was almost 3am?? Cannot really remember.. While i was packing my stuff, hehe.. i got a surprised from my 4 lovely colleagues. My 1st birthday cake. Didnt expect it. Thanks!! But we're all tired, looked really stone from the photos. Where's Jess?

The next morning, before we set off for breakfast. As usual, must take some pics from the balcony.

After eating, we went to Emporium to buy bras before we proceed to CTC!!

Spent a few hours at CTC, then a few hours at Platimum Mall.
By then the sky has already turned dark, oh.. that day was actually the mid-autumn festival, wanted to take a photo of the moon in BKK, while Eric Koo will take a photo of the moon in SIN, haha, then we wanted to see the difference. But too bad, it was drizzling and i forgot about the pic. But Eric actually took it for me, hahah!!

Had our dinner at Chinatown, and sad to say, i think this is the only decent meal we had for our trip. Come to think of it, we really didnt eat much for the entire trip. Shopping is more impt =)

Then, we went to buy some goodies/food to bring back. And i discovered something, or should i say, proved something which ah jie told me. We went to this very famous shop called 林真香. And apparently, there are 2 of them, one of which, the name is written horizontally on the signboard, and the logo is a pig. The other one is written vertically and the logo is a dragon. One of it is the authentic one. I only told the rest about this after we bought the food. N guess what, all along, we all went to the imitation shop! hahaha.. On the cab, Jess even showed us a namecard, telling us about the PIG shop, but still we went to the DRAGON shop, and we already make this mistake 1 year ago. Faint.

So, next time, please look out for the cute little pig before buying.

Moved on to Suan Lum Night Bazaar, but we're late again. The shops have already started closing, so we didnt manage to shop much. Went back to hotel for massage at around 1am.

Our last day in BKK. Time flies. Didnt want to waste any precious time.

Had our breakfast, then went to MBK/ Siam Square/Plaza 29 area. Shopped for quite a bit and had our mani n pedi cure done before we rushed back to hotel to go to the airport.

On the plane, there is this pretty air stewardess that served us. Jen'e eyes couldnt stop starring at her.. Hahah

I am looking forward to my Korea Trip in Jan, and i just booked a Taiwan Trip for May yesterday... Jetstar Promo, too good to resist, my air ticket only cost $217!!! Going with ah ping... heheh... N Langkawi in Dec?? Ooopss...

Apple's Belated Birthday with Marketing Gang

Full attendance, yeah. Dinner was set at the Korean BBQ place at Suntec. This is my first korean BBQ, u dont count Seoul Garden as one right? We had the buffet, which is $23.90++, i hope i rem correctly, everything is included, except the prawns and salmon sashimi which cost $3 per plate, and side dishes which cost $1.50 per set.

Apple is cooking the prawns.. V nicely done!! But, it is not v fresh.

Ying and apple, cooking the meat and squids. The thongs are not that difficult to use afterall... But someone just kept complaining.. And ate the MOST!!!

In summary, we feel that the non-spicy meat taste better than the spicy ones.. Be there early cause the shop close at 930pm. The orange juice is good. The salmon sashimi is cheap. Hmmmm.... dun go if u're not a meat lover, hahhaa....

We moved to TCC @ citylink after that. Wanted to go to the one at Suntec, but they closed at 10pm.. Boooo.... The seats r v comfortable, shall go there earlier next time.

The Thurs Nite with Pri Sch Frens

Pri 1D-6D with Ziwei & Xiuhui, Pri 2D-6D with Melissa.. 17 n 16 years of friendships.. Wow... I'm glad that we're still keeping contact with each other.

3 out of 4 are working in Citi, and all located at Millenia Tower.. How small can the world be. And bcos of this, Ziwei can send us to work if he needs to go back to office. Being able to wake up 30mins later than usual, and not having to squeeze with the morning crowd is a super shiok feeling.

The 3 girls have to wait for the only guy who knocks off at 9pm. So, our first stop was at Osaka Town. Ordered a few dishes to share, the food are all served on hot plate, but they are not sizzling and piping hot.. N this really disappoints all of us. We're not satisfied at all.

We are still hungry, and it's still early.. So we went to search for food again.. We found this place called Fruits Paradise. Saw this shop at Orchard Central before. The cakes/ tarts looks super yummy and delicious. We ordered 3 of them.. Mango Banana, Blueberry and Strawberry Chocolate.. A good alternative for the normal boring standard cakes... Pretty and tasty..

Ziwei arrived before we finished all the cakes. But he didnt want to eat as he is too busy staring at his HP.. Hoping that the share price will go up...

Third stop was at One Rochester Park. This is my first time there. Just 2 days ago, Sishi was telling me how heavenly and romantic this place is. She attended her fren's ROM there, and they even had this ballroom dancing, where she danced with a few handsome guys... Making her feel like falling in love and getting married.

And yes, i agree with her. A nice place to chill with friends or even to go dating..

My Not so Long, Long Weekend

Sunday was Hari Raya, so monday was a public holiday. But, i gotta work.. I was on duty that day. So no long weekend for me.

Saturday was supposed to go JB de. I was looking forward for the 印尼虾, mani pedi & shopping at citysquare. Sadly, the trip was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Haizzz.... But i was glad that i am not one of the victims too, else, i will be the one msging everyone to say that i am not well, please go ahead.. Lesson learnt : If you want to play, don't drink!!!

In the end, no JB trip. But i went to Kovan, to this place called Grapevine. Quite a nice place to chill, cosy, no crowd with affordable and nice food. The fish & chips is delicious, highly recommended by me. If you are ordering rice, do check if their rice cooker is working. Hehehe. Shall not post the pictures of the food, they dont look too appetitzing from the fotos.. But in actual, it taste much much much nicer. Bad point about this place, hmmm... a bit too ulu, at least to me...

So, after eating, all you need to do is to raise out your arms, flag a cab and go to town. To a more accessible place. Hee =)

Watched Whiteout... It's been sometime since i watched such an exciting and bloody show. Recently, i've watching movies like G Force, UP, The Proposal & The Ugly Truth.. So ya, this is something different... Overall not bad, exciting till there is no time to fall asleep or to feel cold.. Hahaha

Sunday was a healthy day for me. Been a month since i last went swimming cause of the 7th month. The weather was great, and i finished 26 laps in an hour and hurried home before i become a roasted pig.. Got the urge to go blading, and i did!!! This is the first time i blade while someone jog/run?? And we actually reached the destination at about the same time. Come to think about it now, am i really that slow or are you really that fast? MmmmmMmmmm....

Bonding Session with my Korea Mates

It was a thursday night and the main objective of the day was to watch "The Ugly Truth". We bought the tickets for the 945pm show, and with UOB promo, it only cost $6 each!! Yoohooo....

And since we have lots of time, we walked from Cine to ION, and queued for about half an hour for the highly recommended Watami by Jo. According to her, it's her new LOVE, comparable to Sushi Tei, which i totally agree after eating =)

The food we ordered, supposed to have one more, but Vincent missed it out, lousy... minus 1000pts.. tsk tsk...

I love the Wafu pizza.. feeling hungry now... Slurpzzz...

We metup on 10Sep, at our usual cityhall area... plus usual jap cusine.. haha.. but this time round is at Waraku.. Anthony suggested the place, i think he loves it, and he thinks that all the food there are simply yummy..

The food we ordered... Ant's portion is HUGE!!! But just the bowl i think...

Jasmine was quite late.. Xiuhui couldnt make it.. and when Jasmine came, her reaction is "What, the bday girl is not here??? Then the cake how.. blah blah blah..." Hmmm.... So me and ant just kept quiet...

MAYDAY DNA Concert 29Aug09

This is the first concert that i attended in my life!!! Hahaha... A bit sua ku i know... Thou i am not a fan of Mayday, but i know the concert is going to be a very enjoyable one, one with very very good and high atmosphere!!!

I went to the Saturday one, and i was told that for the Friday concert, Mayday will sing till 12midnight as it is their 10th years anniversary!! And i am also kind of looking forward for the special guest performance...

The concert is at Indoor stadium, and is supposed to start at 8pm...

The concert started at about 830pm... Love the moments when the crowd sing along and the colourful light sticks...

There is no special guest for this concert... N the concert lasted for almost 4 hours... Applause for Mayday.. i think they are really GREAT~~~~~

Jia Jun & Rainer's Farewell @ Lunar 28Aug09

Jia Jun is leaving us to become an AB.. We'll still be working with each other, will be still receiving his calls.. But just that he'll be located at Capital Square now.. Rainer is quitting his job as an AB and leaving Citi as well.. He'll be going to China to do some business i think...

We had a ~~mini~~ farewell session for them at Lunar.. The attendance that night was pretty good, such that our comfortable corner became a little too crowded and squeezy, but we managed to change to a bigger seat eventually.. Shall list down all the peeps who turned up.. JiaJun, Corinne, Huiyan, Jacinta, Jasmine Ong, Benson, Ryan, Priscilla, Guiyu, Goldiwn, Jingyi, Jen, Jess, Shawn, Chelsea, Sishi, Aiwee, Rainer and me... Total 19 of us!!!!

Stupid blogger... I was editing the template... N i clicked SAVE, n an ERROR message popped up... n the next moment when i view my blog.. i got a shock!! The whole webpage is full of weird HTML text...

N the worst thing is i could not edit the template.. my whole IE hangs when i clicked on the link.. Irritating...

Meetup with Ping

It's been quite some time since the last time we meetup. Partly bcos Grace is simply too busy. This time round, she's unable to make it again, but still we proceed without her.

Been to ION a few times, but not with Ping. So we met at ION and our dinner was at this Hokkaido Ramen place at basement 4. It is not a shop by itself, but one of the stall at the snacks section, recommended by Jingyi.

The ramen was quite good, but the price was a bit steep, given the location. Think we paid about $18 each, for just a bowl of spicy ramen plus tamago. The greenish water is FOC... but kinda weird, so we didnt drink much.. tsk tsk..

Shopped awhile after dinner, but didnt buy anything. The both of us still prefer online shopping~~ We were rather thirsty, so we went to Starbucks for the all-time favourite Green Tea Frappe!!

Jen wanted to bring Sishi to a nice dinner on tue. But it was a rather unlucky and busy day, so we ended quite late. I m not sure what the initial plan was, but Jen said he planned a romantic dinner with cake & handsome guy... Not sure if it's true~~~ We ended up at Vivo, and dinner was at the atas Crystal Jade.

Sidetrack alittle... went to support Eric's son on thursday... A play put up by Catholic High Primary @ Victoria Concert Hall. We(Jingyi, Sishi n I, plus goldwin i suppose) enjoyed the play~~~ The kids are so cute, i like the dance part the most.
His son is so shy, we gave him a large bouquet of sunflower, even bigger than the ones that the teachers got.. hahaha....

1)Received an MMS from Benson on tue morning. His fren bought the Coach bag for me le!! Madison Sabrina Satchel in white. Tada.. Pic of the bag, but i duno the price yet. Shd be cheap i suppose =)

2) I am going to Bangkok! 2-4Oct, with Jen, Jess, Jingyi n Sishi. I can foresee that it is gg to be a v fun trip!! Flying by Thai airways & staying at Emporium Suite. It's shopping time... Yeah!! CTC & platimum mall.. here i come... N it's just a few days before my bday~~~~~

3) I bought something online again. Just paid for the BC H&M inspired jumper in grey. Looks cute, i hope it will turn out nice on me! N the backorder for BC babydoll frock in cyan is finally here. Looking forward to receiving the parcels~~

4) I am going blading tml n on sunday. The utilization level of my blades are high, haha.. a good think i guess~~ n i hope i can go swim on sunday too!! can feel tt i m getting fat... time to burn some fats... shoo shoooo.....

5) NATAs fair is coming... 28-30aug, hope we can book our Korea trip~~~

6) Watched G.I. Joe & UP (in 3D).. i find G.I. Joe more exciting, as for UP, i think it is quite sweet n cute, but then, i do find it little boring~~~ plus point for the 3D version!! cool... if not for the 3D, i think i will fall asleep.. ooopssss...

I am very into rollerblading recently. Hehe, and i even bought myself a pair of blades. Initially, wanted to wait till my birthday, and name it as one of my wishlist, but couldnt wait, so i bought it last wednesday from Skateline!!

K2 blades, original price was $539, but it is on discount, cost only $279. Sishi n Jingyi both agree that it is a very good buy, the specs are good~~~ really can feel the difference, as compared to another pair which i tried (cost $239). Plus i bought guards that are for KIDS! haha.... so difficult to find a matching and nice ones, they are all so manly!

Went to east coast to blade just now, today's weather was good!! was still v hot when we reached bedok jetty, think was already 640pm.... i love my new blades, it's fast n smooth~~~~

After 2 years, the FYP gang finally met up for dinner.

The meetup place was at Amara Hotel... Errr.... kinda of a weird location, but bcos of the weird location, i won a Movie treat. Tsk Tsk!!!

There isnt much choices at Amara there, so we walked down n finally settled at a Korean restaurant, called 2D1N SOJU BANG. After eating for some time, we realised that it is actually their first day of opening. Haha.

The food was not too bad, but i hope this is not the kind of food that i will eat everyday when i go Korea. I wan to try the Korean BBQ!!

Since this is such a rare opportunity that we meetup, photos must be taken.

Had our usual B&F gang meetup last last monday at the usual place. CITYHALL!!! not that i want to nag, but it is always at Cityhall. Why huh?? So boring. And worst thing is the meetup time is always set at 8pm. But luckily, everyone is able to reach early! Can really tell that times are bad. The latest to reach this time round is Anthony, who is not in the banking field cum came from home. Reached at 720pm.

Dinner was settled at New York New York @ Citylink.
Our food. Looks yummy n quite tasty too!! The entire place was quite empty that night. I think bcos it a MONDAY! and why do we meet on monday? Haiz.....

Our next meetup will be at Anthony's place i guess. Steamboat + mahjiong! I am kind of looking forward. HeeHee.

Last friday, meetup with the marketing clinque. Ying, the organiser was stucked in Germany due to bad weather. Gloria was tired as she just came back from US. So and the meetup was super awkward la. Jo, Apple, Alast, Alast gf n fren, Jansen n me. Dinner was at Sushi Tei @ Pargaon. Even the waitress think that we're not a group. Super awkward. Shake head.

Had a hard time deciding what to do after dinner, but in the end we went ahead with the intial plan - KTV! At first i thought it would be another "hard to pass time" session, but it turned out quite fun! we managed to sing through the 4 hours, with apple joining us only for an hour for FREE!! Hehehe.

Fun Dinner @ Tonkichi

Good food are worth queueing. We waited close to an hour before we got our seats. The long waiting time is partly due to our large group. Table for 8!! We make use of the waiting time to decide on what we want to eat, and also got a good bargain by applying for the membership card. It cost $65 and comes with $120 worth of return voucher.

There is a Tonkichi at Suntec, which is super close to our office, n we can eat that during lunch. But we've never dine there before and dont want to go there. Reason being, there is no queue. Haha.. Got queue means the food is nice?? so we insisted on queueing. Oooh, we were at the Lido outlet.

We got a very big and cosy seat. Here are some of the food we ordered, bento set, pork loin with prawns and pork fillet set. And there are sesame seeds for you to grind to make the sauce. The servings are rather huge and everyone ended up being BLOATED!!!

Hmmm.... never order additional rice. Cos you will end up playing zhong ji mi ma to get rid of the rice. Hiak hiak hiak =)

Staying Young

Come to think about it... I am turning 24 this year... Had a little discussion with someone the other day... Ask yourself, do you still think you are young? Our answer is "NO!" When i was 18 or 21, i think i am still very young, and i still got lots of time... But now, suddenly i feel that i am not that young anymore.... I need to have a more secured job.... N that explains why i decided to really put in effort on my job hunt to find a perm job...

Time flies... 13jun, will mark the 2 yrs anniversary that i started working... N what is it that i get at the end of the day?? another contract renewal... a 3 mths contract to be exact... sometimes i regret taking up this offer 2 years ago... if i hadnt take up this offer, i would have gotten myself a perm job, and right now, i will be the same as my peers.... having a secured job, one that you can look forward to promotion and bonus....

As i grow up, daddy and mummy are growing older... daddy is 59 this year... old already, isnt it?? His job requires him to use a lot of strength and i know its really hard on him.... I wish i can earn more so that he need not work so hard.... But that still requires a few more years ba.....

Dinner was at Dian Xiao Er.... This is in fact the last choice on our list.... 1st - Western : Swensens, 2nd - Jap : Sushi Tei.... But the queue is terribly long.... The 3 of us, Jo, Glo n me... Too hungry and tired... Decided to opt for the shortest queue....

Dinner for 4... Alot of food.... But we managed to finish them all.... Total damage : $81

Ying never join us for dinner as she wasnt feeling too well... But she came down with the presents.... hiak hiak.... n joined us for drinks + talk cork session......

This is going to be a very random post.... Been quite some time since i last update... Alot of thoughts.. But just lazy and duno if i shd blog them...

I think i put on weight... Hmmm... Actually i really did (unless the weighing machine is faulty)... Thou it might be a good thing cos sometimes even i find myself a bit too skinny... But but still..... I need to do something about it... N i did!! I went swimming last saturday... Alone!! I am so proud of myself... Haha.. Pat Pat!! =)

Went to take my graduation cum family photo at studio the other day... Quite a good experience... the first time in my life that i see daddy n mummy dressed up so nicely... spent quite abit of the photos thou.... but they are unforgettable memories....

Sometimes i wonder... How should we treat our colleagues? Just colleagues? Or as friends?? How exactly should we draw the boundary?? It doesnt really matter to me as so long as you treat me nice, i will be nice to you too.... N if u choose to draw a line.. then so be it...

Amost 5 mths lo.... sometimes it is really bored to have no activities on weekends... when attached, weekends are mostly reserved for him... perhaps habit is hard to change... i find it quite irritating having to find things to do on weekends... so staying at home can be quite a happy thing to me now...

This is meant to be a belated birthday treat for Goldwin cum birthday celebration for Benson. After work, we rushed off to Carnivores @ Chijmes for dinner... It is a Brazilian Meat Buffet, and there is a early bird price at $39++ before 7pm, or else it will be $45++... We managed to reach there at 7pm.. Hiak hiak....

I would say the food there is nice... Lots of choices over at the salad bar, as for the meat wise, i like the fish & pork... Roasted pineapple is the HOT favourite for the night...

Look at how satisfied Jacinta is... Heeheh...

After dinner, we went to the new butter factory at one fullerton.
We reached there at 930pm... Made a fool of ourselves as they only open at 10pm.... So we went to Starbucks to have a drink, and only proceed to join the queue at 1030pm as we do not want to be the 1st again.... To our horror... the queue is damn LONG la... not only long, but also slow.... stood there for a long time, i dun even know what time we went in...

Met Rainer and his friends.... "BIG MAC" hehe.... But we didnt take any photos...

New butter is much bigger, but still as crowded....

So, in order to make her a bit happier(i hope u did)... we proceed with our original plan... Dinner @ Creation... Food still as nice... Especially the brownie ice-cream... Slurpsss.....

After dinner, we went shopping @ the new mall - Iluma... Nothing spectacular... Perhaps its still not fully open yet... Shall revisit it someday... We went to Bugis Village... Clothes were abnormally expensive on tt night... Hahaha... I really duno y... so we went off when ping's bf came to pick us up...

The sale is held at Chevrons... Super near our house, and we reached there at 10.10am.... Btw, it starts at 10am.. But the room was already quite crowded!!!!

Spent bout 2 hours there.... N we're both happy with our loots =)

Mine... 4 bras + 6 undies.... Total damage $72

And i bought for Joanne.... Bra + 3 undies... $21

So cheap right.... who can resist the temptation....
